Slide-Lag® Replaceable Pulley Lagging
A slide-on system that renews drive, tail, or snub pulleys in minutes—no pulley removal required. Its vulcanized rubber pads slide into steel guide rails, delivering high-friction traction, zig-zag self-cleaning grooves, and built-in impact cushioning. The result is reduced belt slippage, longer pulley life, and minimal downtime with tool-free pad changes whenever wear calls for it.
Rubber lagging pads slide sideways onto steel guide rails fixed to the pulley—the “slide-on” principle. The zig-zag profile increases friction between belt and drum while the elastic rubber cushions impact. The rail mechanism securely locks each pad yet allows fast, tool-free replacement whenever required.
Simply slacken the belt tension and slide the pads into place on the pulley. This cuts both downtime and installation costs.
The special compound delivers a high coefficient of friction to prevent slippage, and the zig-zag surface self-cleans to reduce material build-up. Standard formulation is NR 60 Shore A (DIN 53505); optional Nitrile 65 Shore A or FRAS (antistatic, flame-retardant) compounds are available. Wear volume is < 100 mm³ per DIN 53516.
Suitable for all drive, tail, or snub pulleys of Ø 300 mm and above. The modular design provides full coverage even on wide belts.
With correct belt tension and pulley diameter, Slide-Lag® is among the longest-lasting lagging solutions on the market—typically 3 – 5 years in normal duty and up to 10 years in light-duty, intermittent-run applications.
Factors that can shorten life:
• Insufficient belt tension
• Pulley diameter not matched to lagging calibration
• Frequent start–stop operating cycles
Renew your pulleys quickly with Slide-Lag®—the slide-on technology that delivers maximum durability and minimal downtime, keeping your production running without a hitch!
